Stock quantity

The way the stock works needs improving. Not all that we sell has a stock quantity say if you are selling lessons.
At the moment I am overriding the global cart setting by setting stock checkout to yes and status to in stock. Then I have to set global notify to no or I get notify when product is in stock. This then causes a problem that I wish to have the notify on genuine out of stock products.
The only other choice is to set stock quantity to a high number which looks ridiculous on the front end to a customer i.e book a lesson- quantity 953678365

Suggestions:
Need to be able to set "unlimited" in stock quantity.
Better still be able to override the notify button in individual products
Both options would give you total control.
This must be easy to implement.

Thank you for suggesting this. However, in the case you don't care the stock quantity of product, you just need to set Stock Checkout to Yes. Then you can hide the Availability information and hide the Notify button from the configuration of EShop.

I think that it should work for your case.
