Make recurring donation the default choice?

We really want to push our donors to give monthly.

Is there a way I can make recurring donations the default choice instead of one time donation?
That would be great!

I searched for this but couldn't find an answer. Thanks in advance

Does ANYONE know how to do this?

It would be a great help to know. I saw in an earlier post someone modified the plugin file... do you recommend this? and how would I modify?
