Have you been testing with the (just released) joomla 3.8.0? Is it entirely compatible or are there things we should be aware of?

Have been testing it from RC1, and use 3.8.0 for local development from RC1 released, it is working fine, so you can update to Joomla 3.8

Just want to mention that if someone wants to update to Joomla 3.8.0, you might want to wait for 3.8.1 released before updating. Look like there are some problems with Joomla core updates on some sites, see github.com/joomla/joomla-cms/issues

Our website was updated to 3.8.0 without any problem, but in some special cases, the error might happen

All my sites have been updated through Watchful and all working OK. No-one in the Melbourne Joomla Users Group is reporting any problems at present. I sincerely hope it stays that way.

Good to hear that. Anyway, as there is no clear solution for these errors yet, if someone wants to update, it is safe to make a full backup of your site before upgrading so that in case something goes wrong, you can restore to earlier status
