I have noticed a potential problem with upgrades - by default they include a new subscription term (if renewals are available).

This behaviour gives subscribers a new subscription period as part of the upgrade instead of just varying their membership level.

This occurs even if the plans are set as 'unique'.

We need to be able to offer an upgrade WITHOUT extending the member's current subscription period (otherwise the upgrade may include a renewal if renewals are available).

Can we please have a config option to ensure that upgrades do NOT affect subscription period.

Tuan has indicated he will provide support for this if more people need it - please reply with your support!

Hi

Just want to update that this was already supported. When you add an upgrade rule, just set Prorated parameter to Keep Duration and it should work as expected

Regards,

Tuan

On testing I just noticed this doesn't work quite as expected Tuan. The "Keep Duration" option appears to give the user the currently set expiry date of the NEW plan upon the upgrade. What we needed was for upgrades to retain the current expiry date of the existing plan (ie prior to the upgrade). This is because we have to update the expiry dates of all plans once a year in October so that early renewals will include the following full year AND any new members will also get next year.
