Key field assignment was created by Mark Bogart
Tuan,
Is there a way to make user fields key fields ?
I would like to have a key field that is not the user name.
Also,
Is there a way to publish a field but lock it from user changes while still showing on the profile ?

Hi Mark
Sorry, I don't understand your requirement about key field.
For the readonly field, I think you can edit that custom field, set "Extra" property of the field to readonly and it should work OK
For more information about custom fields, please read the documentation membershipprodoc.joomservices.com/basic-setup/custom-fields
Regards,
Tuan

What I mean by key field is one whose value cannot be duplicated in another user.
Example:
A club has a membership number field that must not be duplicated in another user.
This field also cannot be edited by the user.
This field would be used as a "key field" in the database.
Thank you for taking time to help your users !

We don't have that key field. However, I think you can use Membership ID as a unique field. It is generated for each subscriber (note, not each subscription record) and it is unique
