Disable captcha for renewals was created by Ari
I have membership pro set to require captcha for new registrations. Is it possible to disable captcha for renewals but keep it for new registrations? (I think its main use is to prevent spammers and bots from registering for new accounts. Captcha is not really needed for logged in renewals.) It has become a problem lately as some users' firewalls or ad-blockers sometimes block the captcha image.
If not currently possible, is there a workaround or could this option be added to future versions?
Thanks,
Ari

Hi Ari

It is not possible, unfortunately. There is no workaround at the moment, but I will try to add an option to allow disable it (maybe not showing captcha for logged in user as a config option) and it would solve your concern

Thanks, Tuan, not showing captcha for logged in user as a config option would appear to solve this. Will look forward to it.

Tuan,
Thank you for the work you have been doing with the 2.5.0 version of Memership Pro.
Has this option (not showing captcha for logged in user as a config option) to disable captcha for renewals been incorporated with the most recent version?
Thank you,
Ari

Hi Ari

I forgot to work on it, so I spent sometime this morning to add this option. You can download latest version from My Downloads section (just updated the package few minutes ago), update it to your site.

Then go to Membership Pro -> Configuration, find the config option Enable Captcha, set it to Only For Public Users.

After that, captcha will be disabled for logged in users, thus it will be disabled for membership renewal
