Problems with sending email

When new members register they receive an error message:

"MESSAGE The mail function has been temporarily disabled on this site, please try again later."

I have checked that Joomla is able to send email and the test funtion operates correctly. I have checked that the email function in Membership Pro is active, which it is, but still getting the error message and no email is being sent.

Any ideas on what could be causing the problem ?

Could you please go to System -> Global Configuration, look at Server tab, mail settings section, check and make sure Mail is not disabled on your site?

After some research I found that I needed to switch email off and back on in the Global Settings to make it work.

This may have had something to do with moving from one server to another, but I found that many people have fixed the same problem by switching off and on again.

All is working very well now.
