Sub categories become a dead-end

Using a layout to show my plans, I see that a link appears at the top to plans in a child category, which is fine.
However, if a user clicks on that link, they have no way of getting back to the previous page (where the majority of the plans live), apart from using the back button on the browser. Is it possible to display a back button or for the Joomla breadcrumbs system to work this out? I use breadcrumbs, but it is not seeing the subcategory as a different page, so there is no "escape route", which is bad for usability.

That should be handled using breadcrump. However, I must be honest that at the moment, breadcrump is not being handled very well in Membership Pro and that's something I will try to improve in version 2.7.0. Please give me sometime to works on it, I guess it will take me about 4 weeks to complete this new version
