Member Logon was created by Philip Holmes
I have checked the forum and cannot find an answer to this, hope I am not being stupid.

I need to create a menu item says its called Login, and on this page is a simple form for the Member to enter their username and password, and then be re-directed to their profile.

Is that possible ?

Thank you

Hello Philip

This's actually, a Joomla! core feature. You can create a menu item to link to Login Form menu option of User component and it will work exactly like that

See this screenshot drive.google.com/file/d/1rbBi1U3RE0Ebh-X...Hj/view?usp=drivesdk

Thank you.

Don't think I explained it very well. It is not for the Joomla login but for the Membership user login

Membership Pro does not have it own login page. It just uses Joomla core Login page

Actually, when users subscribe via Membership Pro, Membership Pro will create a user account for them in Joomla. That's why they can use Joomla Login Page to login

Does it help answering your question?

Ah yes, it does.

Sorry to keep asking questions. There is alot to understand. Am I right in thinking it will add them to the User Group as detailed in the Plan ?

Don't worry, ask any questions you need to have the extension setup properly.

Back to your questions, yes, users will be assigned to the groups you select in the plan (plus the default user group - usually Registered which is Configured in Users component)

Great thank you.

I have followed the documentation and set up my new membership groups in Registered, and added those to the plans. Was just a bit confused about adding members, now you have explained that they are added by Membership Pro, it makes sense.

Wanted to make sure I set everything up right from the beginning
