Correct subscription "recipe" advice? was created by Kimberley
Hi Guys

Can you please help with the correct set up for subscriptions with this scenario

all subscriptions run from Jan 1 to Dec 31, no matter what the registration date is and I want the Members to renew for 2024, with the same start and end dates, Jan 1, 2024 to Dec 31, 2024 no matter what date they registered in 2023.

I have the current plan set to the expiration date of Dec 31, 2023, and renewal (not recurring) set to yes, with 1 year in the renewal tab.

Does this mean - new subscribers will pay the full price and their subscription will end on Dec 31, 2023 and current subscribers who are logged in can renew and their subscription will add a full year to the end date of the current subscription, extending it by a full year?

If that's the case perfect - which leads me to the next year and new subscribers.

What do we do for 2024? Do we hide the current plan while keeping it so existing members can continue to renew yearly and new subscribers take the new plan? Or do we change the end date of the current plan to the end of 2024?

Thanks for any help.

Hi

Your settings is correct. You do not have to change anything in 2024, the system is smart enough to calculate the subscription duration properly when users subscribe for the plan in 2024

In short, just keep that setup and it will work well for your need

Regards,

Tuan

Hi TUan

Even though the plan has a set expiration date of dec 31, 2023?

Will someone be able to register on Jan 3, 2024 for the plan that expired 3 days earlier?

I appreciate the help a lot.

If someone registers on Jan 3, 2024, the system will make their subscription expires on 31 December 2024, don't worry
