Change user mid subscription

Hello,

I have a group user who has left their workplace and wants to transfer their group subscription to another user to manage.
Can I just edit the subscription and change the user? If I do this will the subscription still automatically renew? (I have set up auto renewal with Stripe)

Hi Nathan

1. Subscription will still renew automatically

2. For your second question, it is not very clear to me. Are you using group membership feature and want to change admin of the group? If so, you can go to Group members management page, check on the checkbox next to a member of the group, and press Set Group admin button in the toolbar. That member will become admin of the group

Sorry I will clarify.

The original group admin wants to leave the group and have another user take over (including the ability to cancel the subscription/update payment details)

Is this possible?

Yes. Do it as mentioned in #2 I answered above to change admin of the group

Ok, I followed the instructions in step 2 but there is an issue. The new group admin cannot cancel the subscription or update the credit card. The only option is to process a renewal. The old admin however still has the ability to update the card and cancel that subscription

Hi Nathan

That's because the subscription record is still associated to old account. I don't know what to do for this case, to be honest. Maybe the original owner should give the new admin his own account, too, so that he can update credit card. This is something not easy to handle
