Free membership (conditional)

Hi,
Just wondering if there's a way to give someone free membership (or a discount) using a conditional field.

My clients wants veterans to get membership for free but short of creating a coupon I'm not sure if I can do that.

Is it possible to chanre a negative amount for a fee field thereby offsetting the cost of membership and will PayPal (or any gateway) be activated? I can't test this (PayPal activation) because they don't have a PayPal account yet.)

Any thoughts?

Use negative amount to give discount if the users choose the option would work

If I do the negative amount and the membership fee then becomes $00.00 will the cart still go to paypal?

It should not come to PayPal when the fee is 0.00. Give it a try
