Multiple select of categories and Property types

The lists of categories and Property types are presented as single select lists in the Menu Item Type "Property listing layout". So I can only select one of the listed items (one or all categories, one or all property types). Is it possible to make them as multiple select lists, so that may select multiple items (some categories and some property types)?

Currently, the search function is only can search with one property and category in one time, so administrator can only select one category and property type in the listing layout.
