Security for documents

I am building a website for a trader in lumber. The trader wants to post transaction documentation (pdf's), pertaining to shipments for each client (invoice, bill of lading, cert of origin, cert of inspection, etc...). Each client will be given a username and a password.
Please confirm that we can encode each document to be read and/or downloaded by a specific user and other users will not be able to access these documents.

I can confirm that it can be done with our EDocman extension. You can assign a document to (a) specific user(s) you want and only that (these) user(s) can access to these documents
