Error Could not instantiate mail function

Hi I am getting the following when anyone registers for an event

Error Could not instantiate mail function

I searched the forum but no solutions are posted, Any help is greatly appreciated

I believe there is something wrong with mail setting on your site. To make sure that the email works, could you please try to login to backend of your site, go to Users -> Manager, create a new User and check to see whether that users receive email?

If he receives it, mail settings work well, so please submit a support ticket sending us super admin account of your site and the link to registration page

We will check to see why the issue happens and get it sorted
