Turn off Waiting list notification

Hi Tuan

Whenever sometihing is changed in registrants for an event the users on the waitinglist receive an email.
I found the following solution in an earlier post to switch off waiting list email notifications..
However it does not work, we are testing now with a team, and everyone still receives email notifications...
Please help, because it leads to lots of unwanted hassle for the office

No, it is something in the code. You can follow the instructions below to turn it off:

1. Open the file components/com_eventbooking/model/register.php
2. Find this line of code and remove it

EventbookingHelper::notifyWaitingList($row, $config);

After that, no notification will be sent to registrant when someone cancel their registration anymore

Now, there is an easier way. Just go to Events Booking -> Emails & Messages, find this item Registrant waitinglist notification email subject , empty it

After that, waiting list notification emails won't be sent to registrants
