Not sure if we should buy, migrating old event booking version to new one?

Hello, we have a customer that has a version of 2.0.5 of event booking plugin on an old customized joomla platform that is 2.5. We cannot update it because it is such an old version but what I am curious about is, if I were to spin up a brand new joomla install and purchase your brand new version of your event booking plugin...how bad would it be to export from the old event booking plugin to the new version?

Also, please note that latest version of Events Booking requires Joomla 3.5.0+ to work, so if you plan to update to latest version of Events Booking, you will need to use Joomla 3, not Joomla 2.5 as in current version
