Hi

Is there a way to charge a commission for events loaded from the front end (similar to how eventbrite works)?

The commision could either be a percentage of the ticket cost or a set charge per event listing.

regards

Hello Richard

No, there is not a way to do that at the moment. When users register and make payment, there is no way to split that payment into two payment (one to admin of the site and one to website owner)

If you want to charge users for submitting events from frontend of your site, better use membership model: Ask users to subscribe for one of your subscription plans on your site before they can submit events

Thanks for that reply.

Is there a way then to get the person listing the event to add there bank details for the payment to be deposited?

Eg. - A person/organiser list an event(s) subject to site terms and conditions
- When tickets are sold the charge/commission is deducted from the sales total and the balance is then transfered to the event organiser.

Look like you want to collect all payments yourself and then send these payments manually to the organiser? We don't have a way to allow contacting bank details of the organiser, however, I believe you can easily contact these information when users register for an account on your site (using Joomla! core custom fields if needed)
