Session Expired Error

Chris,
Do you mean the Session Handler setting in Session Settings area of Joomla System Config?
What version of Joomla are you running?
The two options I see in Joomla 3.6.5 seem to be "PHP" or "Database"
My setting was the default Database, so I have tried changing to PHP to see if anything changes.

We are also fighting this issue, however setting session handling (PHP), effectively to none, slows down the site quite a lot, so this is not a solution for us.

We experience the samme inconsistent loss of session data for group submissions - normal registrations works just fine. We've tried running PHP on version 5.6 and 7.0, to see if that made a difference, but it didn't.
