Totally confusing setup

I have just bought Joomdonation a few days ago and reinstalled it with the new update.

However I find this totally confusing to setup. I am pretty good with joomla and quite experienced but this is quite difficult even to do the basics.

I just want a donation form on an article page, linked to paypal.

I am using the plugin form successfully to load the article with the form on it.

But when I fill the details in and click next, I get a rather useless summary and no where to proceed.

there is no place in the backend which is particulary useful in just defining the basic setup to what I want without over complicating things. there seems to be at least 3 places where one can put a paypal ID in the backend but no where is there a tick box to say which payment option I want to use.

Maybe I am being thick but need help here.

I just went to the link you sent me and found that there is something wrong with your setting . To allows users to process donation, you need to activate atleast one payment method . Please go to Joom Donation -> Payment Plugins, enable the payment gateway you want to used . After that, everything will work fine .

Paypal is activated. It has been activated for quite some time (before you viewed the site) and still doesnt work. (payment plugin section papal its ticked)

I just purchased and installed the component and am having the same issue with donation forms being displayed by the plugin. If you find a solution, can you please post here so I can make sure my configuration is correct?

I found out the problem . There was a bug in the donation form plugin (the file jdform.zip). The bug was fixed and uploaded to server . So now, please just login to your account, access to Your Orders menu item, download the latest version of the extension and re-install the donation form plugin (the file jdform.zip) .

Possibly related problem... I just upgraded to latest joom donation and once I activated the jdplugin...
I can't get to my donate page (and I do not receive a 404 page not found)

I have joomdonation inside a content item.
here is my donate page... wouldyou know why this happened?

I should also add that I made a menu link to the form and that works fine (although this is not what I want - I want it to be in my content)

Please makes sure you downloaded the latest code from the server and update to your site. Please download it now, try to update it to your server and let me know the result .

maybe I don't understand? I downloaded the latest version today and uploaded it today. When you say "code" you mean the jdonation component zip file right?
